Rhys Johns most commonly uses an hourly rate charging model, and his fees for all areas of work range from £250ph to £450ph depending on the scale and complexity of the work involved, and the locality of the work. He will also provide fixed fees in appropriate cases calculated with reference to approximate hourly charges. VAT is charged in addition.

Rhys Johns undertakes property, commercial and employment work, including private client advice and drafting. This ranges from court hearings and trials in these areas, to the drafting of Wills, LPAs and Trust vehicles.

Paperwork will be turned around normally within 14 days or an earlier agreed timescale. However, the nature of a barrister’s practice is that court hearings and trials can be listed at short notice and court deadlines imposed which will delay these timescales. As barristers practice alone without extensive administrative support, sickness and pre-arranged holidays may also delay completion of work. In the case of delay, a client will be notified of the delay and, if required, another barrister can be proposed to complete the work.
